Jova Musique is a music entertainment company which was formally established in the year 2009. Jova Musique was founded by Joshua Arifin and Valentine which both are musicians, composer, arranger and music educator.

As an Indonesian jazz doublebassist, Joshua Arifin who has experienced playing music since 2005, wants to work and develop music itself, especially in Indonesia. Similar objectives are also desired by Valentine, an Indonesian jazz pianist & drummer. Through their music education in music college, the experiences of playing music at various events, plus the experiences of making music concerts, music festivals and other events, they want to provide good music, good quality and beautiful music by anytime, anywhere the music needed.

With all music educations and experiences they passed through, they built Jova Musique as a music organizer which provides music entertainment service for many events like wedding, engagement, birthday party, sweet 17th party, product launching, company gathering, reunion party, lunch or dinner party, art galleries, music concerts, music festivals , etc.

We provides host/ Master of Ceremony (MC) and music entertainment with many kinds of interesting music concept. With many professional musicians playing many kind of music instruments, we served music with the best quality.

Based on our desire which is to always serve only the best, we provides many kinds of music concepts like acoustic music, jazz combo, strings quartet, chamber music, vocal group, brass ensemble, woodwind ensemble, jazz big band, orchestra, and many more.

Joshua Arifin

In 2005, Joshua Arifin began his musical career as double bass player from Beben Quartet who regularly performs at jazz live music events in the JAK TV from 2005-2007. Besides playing with Beben Quartet for TV shows, music festivals and other events, Joshua Arifin was also active playing music for weddings and other events.

In 2007, Joshua Arifin made his new musical works for his new band, Notturno Band as a Double Bass Player, Composer & Arranger. After releasing their first album, '4 .25 AM ', Notturno called back with a single, Jiro - It takes 3 Steps Forward Him, featuring a young tenor saxophonist, Yudha Gautama. This song was taken as a soundtrack for a movie,"Pintu Terlarang”. In 2009, Joshua Arifin and Notturno again, made a music soundtrack for "Rumah Dara." With Notturno, Joshua Arifin performs in many jazz festivals and events.

In 2008-2009, Joshua Arifin also active playing with big bands and orchestras. Joshua Arifin performed with the drama musical “Malin Kundang” ensemble and he composed 3 songs for it. In 2009, he performed with Jakarta Broadway School at Java Jazz Festival. He also played with The Daya Big Band and The Daya Orchestra.

Beside playing in musicals, big band and orchestra, Joshua Arifin also helped Indonesian film scorers Aksan and Titi Sjuman in making the musical movie “Sang Pemimpi”.

Joshua Arifin has performed with various musicians and singers, including Tompi, Margie Sergers, Ruth Sahanaya, Caroline Kamarie, Aksan Sjuman, Titi Sjuman, Rieka Roeslan, Ali The Groove, Rien Djamain, Glenn Dauna, Benny Mustafa, Sandy Winarta, Arief Setiadi, Dira Sugandi, Lea Simanjuntak, Iwang Noorsaid, Idham Noorsaid and Michael Paulo and many more. Joshua Arifin also performed in various jazz festival, such as Jak Jazz Festival, Ngayog Jazz Festival, Solo Jazz Festival, Jazz Goes To Campus, Malacca Starit Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival and Asean Jazz Festival.

 Valentine, M.Mus

Valentine is an Indonesian jazz pianist, drummer, composer, arranger, music educator, and master of ceremony. She is known for her unique performances and blend of musical genres such as jazz and classical. She widely considered to be one of the young talented musician with her multi-instrument skill. Valentine started her music education by 1991, and then she took the bachelor degree program at Institut Musik Daya Indonesia in 2007 and holding the Bachelor of Music in 2011. She also took the master degree program of Music Composition, Orchestration & Conduting, and holding the Master of Music in 2012. Beside studying classical, jazz and contemporary music, she also studied other music subjects, such as Music Pedagogy , History of Music, Music Sociology, Music Literature, Music Business and Management, Theater Science, Body Awareness, Composing and Arranging Orchestra, Symphony Analysis, Harmony/Tonsatz, Counterpoint, Traditional Art&Music (Saman, Gamelan Bali, Jaipong, Talempong) and many more.

As a music educator, Valentine starts her music career as music educator in 2002 by opening her own music school. In 2004, she also joined with Yamaha Music Indonesia. Since 2011, She also taught as a lecturer at the Institut Musik Daya Indonesia with teaching some music classes such as jazz major and minor piano, music theory, body awareness for musicians, mental ideology for musicians, jazz ensemble classes, history of music instruments, and many more.

Beside taking care of her music school and also active as a music educator in Yamaha Music Indonesia, in 2007, Valentine started to be active perform in many kind of events like weddings, birthday parties, meeting and gathering, lunch or dinner party, music concerts, music festival, etc.

In 2008 - 2009 , together with Joshua Arifin, Valentine had been in charge as a Music Director for drama musical ‘Malin Kundang’, and also joined The Daya Orchestra as a Glockenspiel Player.

Valentine also joined Eclairs Band as a jazz drummer in 2009. She has been played with ├ęclairs  in many events and jazz festivals, such as Java Jazz Festival, Bandung Jazz Festival and many more.

In the next year, in 2010, Valentine made an arrangement for a strings quartet “Red Moon”, that was specially made for Notturno Band, which had been played at Java Jazz Festival 2010. She is currently active in making music compositions and arrangements for orchestra, jazz and big band music, and other music arrangements in various concepts.
